![]() ![]() Nothing you did at the Winter Palace had any effect save one or two lines of dialog, and they never seemed to quite spell out what the relationship was between the Freemen/Gordian with the red templars/Corypheus. The zone felt disconnected from the rest of the game to me, and the central story seemed pointless/confusing. Just let me collect some rashvine, dammit! Token of the Packmaster helped, at least. Demons, wolves, whatever: even after completing the zone, I can't take two steps without getting ambushed. My team AI always seems to get confused inside the ramparts too: I died way too many times because I didn't realize my team had gotten stuck. The ramparts and rocks are frustratingly difficult to navigate: in no other zone did I get nearly as keyboard-throwing angry while trying to gather shards or just walk from point A to B. Just about every zone in the game has something I love about it, something I look forward to even if it's not my favorite, but Exalted Plains makes my blood boil. ![]() I wish there was an option to kill NPCs like in Skyrim. I figured we were in a cut scene, we're safe, right? Nope, I come back to my entire party DEAD because of wolves. Worse of all, I was doing Solas' quest, we stopped to meet the mages who imprisioned his friend IN A CUT SCENE, and I took that opportunity to go to the bathroom. They interrupt you at the most inopportune times and will chase your damned halla halfway across the zone while you're trying in vain to keep up. There's too many (apex predators are RARE in nature!). I wrote Bioware a sternly worded letter because of the AI of the wolves. Especially after I do WEWH and kill Gaspard, the general is still like, "WTFE, we're gonna keep fighting!" I hate that you can't just run to places without randomly hopping because there are tiny boulders that you can't step over strewn about your path. I hate the Orlesian army out there who keeps fighting lord-knows-what for reasons they can barely explain. I hate the little runes you have to use veilfire on, but you have to run half-way across the zone with the torch to get one. I hate the Dalish who tell you to kill TWO DEMONS in their graveyard, but pitch a fit if you loot anything. I hate the shards hidden on rocks which you have to play jumpy-Mario to get to. I hate the ramparts with the pokey things and the places you have to go on upper levels, but there's only one way to get there and it's hidden. A group of treasure hunters evidently mentioned them several years ago. He has provided us the location, but it should be noted we're not the first to investigate these glyphs. He claims they are a kind of map, showing the location to an ancient temple dedicated to Dirthamen, the elven God of Secrets. It required some "gifts" to several Dalish clans traveling along the Waking Sea coast, but Cillian was able to get the texts he needed to translate the glyphs. One of our mages, a Dalish elf named Cillian, believes he may be able to translate the glyphs-provided we grant him the needed contacts Secrets - N/A Advisor suggestions Connections - Instant - Power cost: 5 Cursory inspection suggests they predate the ruins in which they were found-possibly transferred onto the stone from a much older edifice that dates back to the original elven nation or even earlier. The elven glyphs discovered in the Dales might prove valuable. The operation triggers once the Inquisitor has found all four glyphs. This operation is the last step in the Exalted Plains side quest Scattered Glyphs. 3.1 Connections - Instant - Power cost: 5. ![]()
